Eligibility Criteria for ARES Scholarships 2026
Those who would like to be considered for this attractive scholarship opportunity need to meet the eligibility standards.
- The candidates have to be permanent residents and must work in one of the 31 eligible countries. There is an exception for Palestinian nationals. They are eligible even if they do not live in one of these 31 countries.
- They must hold a degree comparable to a 2nd cycle diploma (300 ECTS credits) from a Belgian university for specialized master’s and continuing education courses
- For specialization baccalaureates, they must possess a diploma comparable to a 1st cycle diploma (180 ECTS credits) from Belgian higher education
- They must demonstrate a minimum of 2 years’ relevant professional work experience in an ARES partner country
