The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Dutch Enterprise Agency (RVO), partners with One Young World to help address these kinds of challenges. Through this opportunity, an annual scholarship is offered to young entrepreneurs and business leaders. Those applicants who are chosen will attend the One Young World Summit 2026 set to take place in Cape Town (South Africa), where 2000 young leaders from more than 190 countries come together to learn from world experts, share ideas, and collaborate on solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.
The upcoming summit is all set to offer an inspiring ambiance to grow professionally, strengthen entrepreneurial skills, and build meaningful international connections, which can support long-term success.
Pre-Program
Let’s find out the pre-program of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2026. Before the One Young World Summit, Enterprising Futures Scholars will attend an in-person pre-program in Cape Town, South Africa. For two days’ time, scholars will be able to make connections with their peers and also strengthen their leadership and entrepreneurial dexterity (skills) through workshops and other interactive activities, including a pitching competition.
Eligibility Criteria
For the Dutch Ministry of Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2026, the interested candidates are required to meet the following eligibility requirements.
- They must be aged 18 to 35 by the date of the One Young World Summit 2026 in November
- They must be leading or part of a scalable start-up or small to medium-sized enterprise (SME), with demonstrable social and/or environmental impact, either as an entrepreneur or similar role.
- They must be the residents or nationals of one of the following countries:
- Ethiopia, Jordan, Lebanon, Mozambique, Uganda, Tunisia, Palestine, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, Senegal, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Benin, South Africa, Ghana, Iraq (including the Kurdistan region of Iraq), Burundi, Mali, Sudan, and Algeria.
- Since both the One Young World Summit and Enterprising Futures pre- and post-programs will be conducted in English, all candidates are required to have a working understanding of the English language.
- Between 30th October and 7th November, as well as pre- and post-program dates, candidates have to be available to join the program full-time.

Financial Coverage
Successful candidates will be offered:
- Access to more (additional) events organized by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the pre-program
- One Young World Summit 2026 access that is set to happen from 3rd to 6th November in Cape Town
- One Young World Global Leadership Program access, besides, they will get access to Action Accelerator and a lifetime membership to the One Young World Ambassador Community
- The economy flights (return air travel) from the candidate’s country of residence to Cape Town
- Accommodation (hotel accommodation) for the complete duration of the pre-program and Summit dates
- Domestic travel expenses to the airport to get the international flight
- One night’s hotel accommodation (if need be) for the visa application procedure
- Catering that consists of breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the pre-program and the summit
- Visa expenses, if applicable (including the fee for the visa application and required travel for the visa appointment)
- Transport between the accommodation of the summit and the venue of the summit
