Information Regarding the Einstein Fellowship Program 2025
This funded and widely renowned fellowship program will last for 5 to 6 months in Germany. It is open to all nationalities. The Einstein Fellowship is funded by the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation. The objective of the program is to invite interested candidates to conduct research in a field different from their previous research. Successful fellows will stay in the Garden Cottage of Einstein’s summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg.

The Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation Fellowship Program is for exceptional young thinkers wishing to pursue a project in a different field from their previous research. Once the fellowship period ends, the fellows will be expected to present their project in a public lecture at the Einstein Forum and at the Wittenstein Foundation.
It must be noted that this fellowship program is not targeted to those wishing to complete an academic study they have started already. It needs to be understood that a successful application has to showcase the quality, feasibility, and originality of the proposed project, in addition to (as well as) the applicant’s superior intellectual development. It is not related to whether the candidates have started working toward or presently possess a PhD degree. During the fellowship time, the proposed project needs not be completed wholly, but it can be the starting of a longer project.
Duration of the Einstein Fellowship Program
The period of the fellowship will be 5 to 6 months. The exact dates are flexible. The program will start during the months of summer and end within the calendar year.
Einstein Fellowship Eligibility
- Applicants need to be under 35 years of age
- They must possess a university degree in social sciences, humanities, or in the natural sciences
- TOEFL/IELTS are not required
Funding Availability Under Einstein Fellowship Germany
Under the Einstein Fellowship Program 2025, there is attractive coverage available to successful candidates.
- The coverage will be offered for living accommodations for 5 to 6 months (it will be offered in Caputh at the garden cottage of Einstein`s own summerhouse).
- A stipend of EUR 10,000 will be offered.
- There will be reimbursement of travel expenditures.
- Candidates’ families could accompany them during the period of fellowship, but their travel expenses will not be covered.
