Information Regarding the Erasmus Mundus Global MINDS Scholarship
The master’s program is a 2-year study program with 120 ECTS and focuses on insights into contemporary social and societal issues from social and cultural psychology. Global MINDS Master program assures exceptional training for graduates who will become able to deal with contemporary social and societal issues in a unique, culturally sensitive, reflective, and sustainable way.

About Global MINDS Master’s Program
It is an English-language master’s degree program co-funded by the European Union for students having a Psychology Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. The program is novel, with an indispensable internationalization component. The program is aimed at students with a bachelor’s or similar degree in the field of psychology.
This two-year program carries two semesters of full-time coursework in the first year at two different universities. This is followed in the second year by a semester internship program to be done with a company or an organization organized in association with the partner university of the choice of the student, and a final semester to complete and defend the thesis.
Internship to Be Done for the Erasmus Mundus Global MINDS Scholarship 2025-27
Students of the Erasmus Mundus Global MINDS Program will have to undergo a three-month structured internship with an organization involved in topics that are highly related to Global-MINDS’ goals and aims. It is expected that the graduates of the Global MINDS program will have an employment benefit (advantage) in the job market.
Consortium Partners (Partner Universities On-Board)
Under the Erasmus Mundus Global MINDS Program, four consortium universities are offering some of the best master’s programs relevant to social and cultural psychology in their respective countries. The partner universities include:
- UL (University of Limerick, Ireland) – One Year MSc in Psychological Science
- ISCTE-IUL (Lisbon, Portugal) – Two-Year MSc in Psychology of Intercultural Relations
- UiO (University of Oslo, Norway) – Two-Year Master in Psychology
- SWPS (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Warsaw, Poland) – Two-Year MA in Applied Social Psychology

Eligibility Criteria for the Erasmus Mundus Global MINDS Scholarship
The Erasmus Mundus Global MINDS Scholarship requirements are mentioned ahead.
- The scholarship opportunity is open to all nationalities.
- Interested candidates need to have an undergraduate degree.
- Those who so far have not completed their undergraduate degree program have to submit proof of enrollment, transcripts plus a declaration of expected graduate date. If accepted, they will be required to provide an undergraduate degree.
- The candidates will need to provide their CVs in Europass CV Format.
- Copy of the birth certificate or candidate’s passport.
- Other supporting documents.
Note: Those candidates who are non-native English language speakers will need to provide certified demonstrable achievements in a standard English language competency test in line with UL requirements.
Scholarships and Funding
Under the Erasmus Mundus Global MINDS Scholarship, the successful candidates will be offered fully funded and partially funded opportunities. The scholarship is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) program. Two types of scholarships will be available for each cohort, which are:
- Ten full scholarships will cover the participation costs and provide an additional stipend throughout the study program. All students who successfully gain the scholarships will receive a pre-payment of €2400 in August (shortly before the start of their first semester for expenses relevant to the students’ travels, etc.) plus a monthly grant of €1300 per month for a period of 24 months.
- There will be fifteen partial scholarships that cover the participation costs.
To be considered for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, the candidates will be required to include a request for funding and related justification in their supporting statement. Those who have already received an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship previously (in the past) will not be eligible to submit their applications for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship for Global MINDS. Therefore, those who have bagged an Erasmus Mundus scholarship before 2021 need to contact the team or the contact persons of the Global MINDS for further information.

Deadlines for Application Submissions
The first application period for these scholarships and self-funded applicants is 10th January 2025. The second application round for self-funded students (if there are still free places/seats) is from 10th February to 10th April 2025.
