How Does the Expatrio Scholarship 2025 Work?
Interested applicants are required to submit a maximum of a two-minute video via the official application form by answering this question: ‘How will your studies in Germany help you make a positive impact on others?’. There is no need to present a video quality or editing skills, everyone has a fair chance. Candidates need to show their passion.
Expatrio makes it easier for the applicants by offering them to shoot the video in their own languages. If it is not made in English or German, it should then carry English or German subtitles.
It must be noted that the winners will receive their prize money once they have activated their health insurance and blocked accounts with Expatrio. The amount of scholarship cannot be used to fund blocked accounts. The winning prizes will be conferred only after the winners have arrived in Germany.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants need to meet the Expatrio scholarship 2025 requirements. The following criteria are required to be met.
- Scholarship is open to all nationalities
- Applicants should apply for the Expatrio Value Package by the deadline, which is 30th September 2025
- Students should begin their studies in Germany in the winter semester of 2025
- They should arrive in Germany and activate their blocked account and health insurance by 31st October 2025

Winners will receive the following prizes.
- First prize is €15,000
- Second prize is €12,000
- Third prize is €9,000
- 4th to 10th place winners will receive rent paid for six months, German language lessons, a new laptop, and semester contribution fees.
