Funding for these scholarships will begin on 1st November 2025, and the duration of the scholarships is 6 months. Eligibility Criteria
The call for applications has been announced, and it is aimed at the outstanding qualified candidates in the aforementioned field. As far as the basic prerequisite for bagging a scholarship is concerned, it is for admission to and enrollment in doctoral studies at Leuphana University, membership in the DFG Research Training Group ‘Cultures of Critique’, and a doctoral project that is at an advanced stage. Financial Coverage Under Leuphana University Lüneburg Doctoral Scholarships
Successful candidates receive a monthly basic funding amount, and the funding amount of the doctoral scholarship will be based on the present scale of the scholarship funds for gifted students and amount to EUR 1,650 per month. Besides, if the applicants request, a child allowance might also be offered. Professional or other activities in addition to doctoral work could not exceed an annual average of 8 hours weekly.
During the funding period, the scholarship recipients will be expected to complete their dissertations, which should be in the form of a monograph and be linked to ongoing research projects on the subjects or topic of ‘Cultures of Critique: Forms, Media, Effects’.
