the need level showed by the students/applicants and their families, relative to other students/applicants.
The rate of tuition fee charged basing around the study program and residency of students (International, Quebec, rest of Canada and the U.S.)
Note: Since these scholarships/awards are not renewed automatically in students’ second and subsequent years of their study, they might continue receiving financial assistance visa university’s In-Course Financial Aid Program.
The university offers a limited number of entrance bursaries, which are tenable and renewable till students’ completion of their undergraduate programs (up to a maximum of 4 years) providing that the renewal criteria is met such as academic standing and financial needs.
The applicants/students will be considered for this kind of entrance award automatically by the time they lodge their entrance bursary application on Minerva. There is no separate application required.

Eligibility Criteria for McGill University Entrance Bursary Program
The eligible candidates for this opportunity include:
- Students who are newly accepted by the university, first year, first degree undergraduates.
- Students who are newly accepted, first year undergraduate who are direct entrants to professional programs in Medicine and Law (with prior degree).
- As mentioned above, the students must be enrolled in a full-time degree program at McGill.
- They need to showcase their financial need, including their intention to apply for Indigenous Band Support Funding and/or government student aid.
Note: Those students, who are registered with university’s office for students with disabilities might be eligible for university’s financial aid while pursuing a lessened course load.

The last submission date for the applications for McGill University Entrance Bursary Program is 30th June 2022. The university recommends the students to apply within the timeframe of 30 days from the date of their formal acceptance. This is because that the funding for this program is limited.
