MIT Scholarships
These are undergraduate scholarships offered to undergraduate degree programs. The students, who apply for student aid (financial aid) and fill up the CSS Profile, will be considered automatically for an MIT Scholarship.
Students, who are provided with an MIT Scholarship, will be invited to fill out an annual Student Information Review form. This way, the team will be able to match your profile with the right scholarship.
Successful students (admitted low-income first-year students) will also be provided with a grant to support them with their extra expenditures which come with the transition to college like towels and sheets for their room, or a warm coat to use in winter.
This grant for extra expenses for the student’s first year will be $2,000 to be divided equally between the semesters of fall and spring. This amount will be credited to the student’s account together with other financial aid once the student is registered for the semester. This is offered to first-year students only.
