Project Description
With this PhD, it offers the candidate with the opportunity to work with prominent clinicians and scientists in the United Kingdom and Sub-Saharan Africa to enhance the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes and develop advanced expertise in data analysis and clinical research.
The candidate will analyze data from large existing studies from Malawi, Uganda, South Africa, and the United Kingdom to discover the features that are quite helpful in discovering type 2 diabetes in Sub-Saharan Africa and determine if various or different risk factors are associated with lean type 2 diabetes.
The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work with a giant multinational venture (project) funded by the United Kingdom National Institute of Health and Social Care Research that brings together researchers from Uganda, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Malawi.
