Information Regarding the POSTECH Global Young Leaders Program 2026
This Global Young Leaders Program will last for one full academic year (10 months, September to June). As mentioned earlier, POSCO & POSTECH fund this fully funded student exchange program. POSCO offers this program to train and cultivate next-generation global talent. POSTECH also joins to fund and provide more opportunities to students to turn out to be global young leaders under this available program. The duration of the program is 10 months from September to June (one full academic year).

Program Structure of the POSTECH GYLP
Lead+ – Leadership, Engagement, Achievement, and Development
Academic Courses – Since GYLP is under the Academic Exchange, students need to take courses from POSTECH, following all regulations of the academic exchange program
Korean Language Courses – Before the program begins, the accepted students should complete online Korean language courses during summer break. While the program lasts, the students are required to take offline Korean language courses offered by the POSTECH Institute of Culture and Language
Winter Research – While the winter break goes on, accepted students are required to participate in research for a minimum of 4 weeks (at least 20 hours per week). During the fall semester on campus, students will be responsible to find a research advisor
Eligibility Criteria for the POSTECH Global Young Leaders Program 2026
- The applicants must be presently enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate degree program in POSTECH’s partner institution
- Their overall GPA should be 3.3 out of 4.3, equivalent to a letter grade B+, 3.3 out of 4.0, 4.5 out of 5.0, 85%
- They must be proficient in English (TOEFL iBT 100, IELTS Academic 7.5, Duolingo 135)
- Remember, any other test scores or certificates from a home institution are not acceptable. Therefore, those who are enrolled in a home institution located in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, United States are exempt from the English proficiency condition.

- Round airfare
- Visa and transportation fee: 500,000 KRW once
- Living expenses: 1,000,000 KRW monthly
