Eligibility Criteria for the Siena International Excellence Scholarship

If you would like to be considered for the University of Siena International Excellence Scholarship 2026, you need to meet the following criteria:

· The opportunity is open to all nationals except Italian citizens

· Applicants must not be residents of Italy

· Dual citizenship holders, including Italians, are not eligible

· Applicants must have obtained their last (previous) qualifications outside Italy

· They must hold a non-Italian bachelor’s degree and be eligible for admission to master’s (Lauree Magistrali) programs in Italy

Note: The following applicants are considered residents of Italy:

· EU (or equivalent) citizens living in Italy for more than nine months continuously. Citizens of Liechtenstein, Iceland, the Republic of San Marino, Norway, and Switzerland are considered EU citizens.

· Non-EU citizens with a valid residence permit, which allows enrollment without a new student visa

Financial Coverage

Selected candidates will be provided with the following coverage:

· €6,000 will be offered per year (gross amount)

· It will be offered for a duration of one year, but is renewable for a second year (for a total of €12,000 for two years, gross amount)
