Eligibility Criteria for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship

The following criteria need to be met if one would like to apply and be considered for this scholarship opportunity. The applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of the countries listed on the eligible countries’ list for the TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program, and they need to satisfy any particular criteria established by their home countries and/or government of citizenship.
  • The applicants must neither be a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) nor an overseas compatriot student.
  • They must satisfy the requirements of admission to the partner university to which they have applied to study under a TaiwanICDF scholarship.
  • The applicants of this scholarship opportunity must also satisfy all resident visa requirements (Code: FS) set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bureau of Consular Affairs, and an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) set by the Ministry of the Interior, of the ROC (Taiwan) government.
  • Once the TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program (this scholarship scheme) has been accepted by the students, they cannot hold any other Taiwan government-sponsored scholarship like Taiwan Scholarship in the same academic year in which the accepted students will be due to start.
  • They must not be applying for any other TaiwanICDF scholarship in unbroken succession to apply for a 2025 scholarship. Applicants who already have held a TaiwanICDF Scholarship, MOE Scholarship, or MOFA Taiwan Scholarship must have graduated before 31st July 2024.
  • The applicants must provide their highest-level diploma before 31st July 2025. Those who are unable to get the certificate by this particular date could apply for next year’s scholarship instead.
  • Applicants must have never had any scholarship revoked by any ROC Taiwan Government Agency or any relevant institutions, nor been expelled from any university in Taiwan.

Financial Coverage Under 2025 TaiwanICDF Scholarship
