Information about Thesaurus Poloniae Scholarship Program
This scholarship scheme was launched in 2009. It was established by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. From the start, the program has been implemented by the ICC in Krakow.
The target audience for this scholarship include foreign researchers who do research in the areas of art history, history, ethnography, sociology, cultural anthropology and other relevant sciences. These researchers are entitled and eligible to submit their applications for Thesaurus Poloniae Scholarship Program.
This program is implemented in two categories namely Program for PhD-hold professors and academic lecturers and Junior Program for PhD students. This program is offered to international scholars who conducts their researches on culture, history and multicultural heritage of the Republic of Poland and Central Europe.
This is among the best scholarships in Poland. This program is available and open to international researchers whose research areas involve management and protection of cultural heritage as well as to those researchers conducting their researches in the areas of sociology, history, anthropology and ethnography. So far, 25 editions of this program have been conducted, and 119 scholars have been conferred with scholarships up to now from 34 countries of the world.

About International Cultural Centre (ICC)
It is a national cultural institution that organizes events, exhibitions and workshops. The organization also runs projects and publishes books. The purpose of ICC is to provide support to statutory activities undertaken by the organization i.e. its educational, scientific, publishing initiatives and exhibition.

Financial Coverage for Thesaurus Poloniae Scholarship Program
This program offers financial coverage to chosen candidates. A qualified participant will receive a scholarship amount of PLN 3500 (for Senior Program) per month. The qualified Junior Program participant will receive PLN 2500 per month. The qualified participants will also receive a one-time grant amounting PLN 1500 to be paid together with the first scholarship for the expenses of books and scientific aids.
Other benefits offered to qualified participants include use of library, reading room equipped with computer stations with internet access. ICC also offers assistance in reaching archives and libraries. It also enables the participants to access educational and research offers of Krakow’s scientific and cultural institutions.
The awardees will also be offered a fully equipped and independent apartment located in the city center.

For the 26th editions of this program, applications are requested and will be collected till June 30th 2022.
