About the United Nations Young Talent Pipeline Programme
The programme is set to strengthen your job applications and increase your competitiveness in the United Nations recruitment process through targeted training, networking opportunities, and mentorship. The UN Talent Pipeline aims to build a vigorous pipeline of qualified candidates from underrepresented and unrepresented developing member states.
There are no fees for participation in this programme. The United Nations and its member state partners are investing resources and time in this talent pipeline. Thus, once you are accepted into the program, you will be expected to fully commit to completing structured training. The programme requires approximately 3 to 5 hours per month over a 3 to 6 months period.

Eligibility Criteria for the United Nations Young Talent Pipeline Programme

- Those applicants are eligible who are mid-career professionals from the UN member states which are considered as developing underrepresented or unrepresented (list of these countries)
- Candidates need to hold a master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. In case the candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, they should possess 7 years of relevant experience.
- Educational background should be aligned with the talent pipeline, the candidates are applying for.
- English proficiency is required. Applicants must have at least an intermediate level of English in all four sections (areas) – writing, reading, speaking, and listening.
- There are no age barriers as long as the eligibility criteria specified in the announcement are met.
Note: Current staff members of the United Nations Secretariat are not eligible for this opportunity. Therefore, personnel from the United Nations Funds, Programmes, and Specialized Agencies could apply to this training programme providing that they meet all other eligibility standards.
Assessment Process
