To be eligible for this scholarship program, candidates must apply for the first year of full-time study in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate program.
Self-funded candidates who complete the international foundation year at Salford successfully with a grade of 70 or higher are eligible, provided that they progress to one of the university’s eligible undergraduate study programs commencing from 2024-25
If the candidates are undergraduate applicants, they must hold an offer to study in an eligible program and achieve A-level grades of ABB or equivalent from their country
If they are postgraduate applicants, they must possess a study offer for an eligible program, achieve a first-class degree, and meet their offer conditions by the closing date shown on their offer letter

Terms and Conditions

Interested candidates are required to go through the terms and conditions for the Global Gold Excellence Scholarship.

Candidates could be interested in this opportunity, provided they have already been conferred a different scholarship. Therefore, in line with terms and conditions, they can only receive one scholarship – the one with the highest award value
To be eligible for the global golden excellence scholarship, the candidates must be applying for the first year of a full-time study program in an eligible bachelor’s or master’s program and achieve the grades specified above. International Foundation Year applicants are presently not eligible
Commencing from September 2026, undergraduate students eligible for global gold or global silver excellence awards will be provided with this scholarship for every year of study provided that they keep maintaining a good academic record throughout their education to continue receiving the award
Present students who began their studies (courses) before September 2026 and who are eligible for the Global Silver Excellence or Global Gold Excellence Award will only be provided the scholarship for the first year of their studies

Financial Coverage

Successful undergraduate applicants under the Global Gold Excellence Scholarship will receive £3,500 for every year of their study starting from September 2026.

Successful postgraduate applicants under the Global Gold Excellence Scholarship will be provided with £3,000.
