Details Regarding the UVI Institutional Scholarships

The University of the Virgin Islands Scholarship Committee awards the UVI Institutional Scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. Under this scholarship scheme, all UVI on-ground students (current, freshmen, transfer, graduate, and international students) will be taken into consideration based on their completion of the electronic scholarship application, academic transcripts, and other required documents.

Eligibility Criteria for the UVI Institutional Scholarships

To be considered for the University of the Virgin Islands Scholarships (UVI Institutional Scholarships), there are requirements to be met.

High School Eligibility – Applicants are required to submit their High School Grade Point Average (GPA).

Undergraduate Eligibility Criteria

Those who would like to apply must have a CGPA (cumulative grade point average) of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale*.
They must have obtained/earned a minimum of 12 credits of academic study at the University of the Virgin Islands (continuing students only).
They must be full-time student matriculated into an undergraduate study program at the University of the Virgin Islands.
Applicants must be United States citizens, permanent residents, or F-1 international students.

*Remember, some scholarship program criteria could require a CGPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.

Graduate Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have obtained/earned a minimum of 6 credits of academic study at the University of the Virgin Islands.
They must have a CGPA of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale.
Interested candidates must be full-time students matriculated into a graduate degree program at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI).
They must be citizens of the United States, permanent residents, or F-1 international students.

Financial Coverage
