Eligibility Criteria for Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarships

All nationalities are welcome and eligible except Australian and New Zealand citizens. Australian permanent residents are also not eligible.
They should intend to live in Sydney (Australia) during their candidature.
The applicants are required to meet the admission criteria for commencement into the Master of Research – Year 2 (MRes Y2) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
They have planned to start/pursue a Master of Research Year 2 or PhD in S1 2024 full-time.

They should also satisfy the admission criteria to Macquarie University.
The applicants should have a valid visa that allows them to start their studies in Session 1 2024. They must have confirmation of supervision from an eligible Macquarie University researcher (it is compulsory for FMHHS and desirable for other faculties)

Available Financial Coverage for Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarships

Tuition fee offset for a maximum period of 3 years
Living allowance stipend to be offered for up to 3 years (the present rate is $34,500 per annum)

Counter-offered entry to the MRes Year 2 with provision 3-year PhD
