For these free scholarships, there is no need of the English proficiency certificate at all. It is not mandatory. It means you are exempt from providing IELTS/TOEFL test scores. You even do not have to pay the application fee required to apply for the scholarships. The top universities of Azerbaijan participate in these scholarships for international students.
Total 400 scholarships have been announced for the students from different countries of the world. The ministry of foreign affairs will cover all the expenses of the chosen students. This Government of Azerbaijan Scholarship is all set to let the students study in all academic fields for undergraduates, graduates and doctoral degrees.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarships
If you are going to apply for undergraduate programs, your age should not exceed 25 years.
If you are planning to apply for graduate programs, your age should not exceed 30 years.
If you are applying for PhD (doctoral) programs, your age should not exceed 40 years.

Selection and Result of the Selected Candidates
First you need to apply for the scholarships, if you like to be chosen and want to study there in Azerbaijan. Well, the selection and result will be as follows:
- First will be the review of the relevant documents submitted by the students.
- Then the interviews will be done online through Skype interview.
- By the end of July 2021, the outcome of the applications will be announced.
