Eligibility Criteria for the Danish Government Scholarships for international Students

To be considered for the Danish Government scholarships for non-EU/EEA students, the basis eligibility is to be a non-EU/EEA student enrolling in one of the below-mentioned Master’s programs in Sønderborg with program commencing in September 2023.

  • MSc in Engineering – Mechatronics – both profiles
  • MSc in Engineering – Electronics (Sønderborg)

This opportunity is going to be offered to the best qualified applicants. All eligible applicants, who are offered admission (study place) at the university for the eligible programs, will automatically be considered for this scholarship. There is no separate application needed for scholarship. There, the applicants should focus heavily on their admission, and should learn about the University of Southern Denmark admission requirements to get the admission.

Note: The faculty of engineering also has the possibility to confer the highly qualified candidates to other programs in Sønderborg for a scholarship.

Those applicants, who are eligible to receive the Danish State Grant, will not be considered for this scholarship.

Selection Criteria for SDU Danish Government Scholarship

This opportunity will be provided to the best-qualified applicants. It will be based on their GPA (grade point average) of their Bachelor’s degree.

The applicants must make sure to provide all necessary documentation. The required documents include:

  • Applicants’ official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma. They have to be in English, Swedish, Danish or Norwegian. They should also include grades and units/credits for each course.
  • On the transcripts, description of the courses should be mentioned.
  • Proof of English language proficiency is also required.

There is a financial coverage for this University of Southern Denmark Master’s study scholarship, which consists of two parts:

  • A full tuition fee waiver and a grant.
  • Help for living costs that amounts DKK 3000 per month (before taxes).
