These are postgraduate scholarships available for Master’s degree programs (eligible programs) conducted at Newcastle University. The university is now pleased to announce 39 Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships (VCES) for exceptional international students who like to apply to start a full-time Master’s degree in an eligible program. There are (up to) 50% tuition fee and 100% tuition fee scholarships available to grab at Newcastle University.

The start date of the program with the scholarship is September 2024 for the full duration of the degree program.

Eligibility Criteria for Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships (VCES) – Postgraduate

For 50% Tuition Scholarships – the applicants are required to meet the below-mentioned requirements:

  • The applicants have to be domiciled in one of these countries – China, Canada, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Ukraine, Turkey, Mexico, the USA, Central America* or South America*.
  • They need to be assessed as overseas (international) for fee purposes.
  • They have to hold an offer for an eligible Master’s study program at the campus of the university’s Newcastle city center for the academic year 2024-25.
  • The applicants already possess or expect to obtain the equivalent of an upper second-class UK honors degree or above.

*Central America – Costa Rica, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama and Nicaragua.

**South America – Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Guyana, Ecuador, Paraguay, Suriname, Peru, Venezuela and Uruguay.

For 100% Tuition Scholarships – the applicants are required to meet the following requirements:

  • They need to be domiciled in India or Ukraine.
  • The applicants have to be assessed as international (overseas) for fee purposes.
  • They possess an offer for an eligible Master’s degree program available at the university’s Newcastle city center campus for the academic year 2024-25.
  • The applicants already have or expect to obtain the equivalent of an upper second-class UK honors degree or above.

The sponsor of the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships (VCES) – Postgraduate (2024 Entry) is Newcastle University itself. There are 30 scholarships offered to international students. The 37 scholarships are up to 50% tuition fee scholarships and 2 are for 100% tuition fee scholarships.
