Information about EPSO Young Plant Scientist Award 2023
EPSO encourages the development of ideas and imaginative thinking in the field of plant and sciences, and, hence two awards are offered to young scientists to attend the Science Day of the EPSO General Meeting to be conducted in a city of a member (in Europe) in the coming June 2023.
About EPSO
Founded in 2000, EPSO was launched to represent the needs and interests of European Plant Science. The European Plant Science Organization, EPSO is an independent academic organization presently representing 70 institutional members bringing together above 200 institutes of research, universities & departments from 31 countries in the whole of Europe and beyond.
The organization works with a mission of enhancing the impact and visibility of plant science in Europe.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this opportunity, the applicants need to demonstrate their eligibility.
- Interested candidates can be nominated by others.
- To be eligible, they need to be working in a university or an institute that has EPSO institutional membership (you may check online).
Criteria of Selection
The committee will choose the awards based on submitted abstracts. The criteria for selection will be:
- Novel idea or novel approach being taken.
- Research potential to enhance the understanding or outcomes in the chosen field of plant science.
- The clarity with which the topic of research or problem is conveyed to a non-specialist plant scientist.

Financial Coverage
There are financial benefits associated with this opportunity.
- The financial coverage consists of registration and travel. And the awardee can present a lecture on his/her research during a plenary session of Science Day and he or she will receive €200.
