Under The Maastricht University Holland-high Potential Scholarship Program, there are 24 full scholarships worth € 30,000 (including waiver of tuition fee and monthly stipend) offered each academic year to highly exceptional students who are from outside the EU (European Union) and have been admitted to a Master’s degree program at University of Maastricht (UM).

This program carries both the High Potential Scholarship (which is financed by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund) and Holland Scholarship (that is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in conjunction with universities of applied sciences and Dutch universities). The scholarship is targeted to international students (who are from outside the EEA/EU countries wishing to follow a full degree program in Holland/The Netherlands.

Eligibility Criteria for Maastricht University Holland-High Potential Scholarship

To be considered for this brilliant and colossal scholarship for education, the interested applicants need to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned as under:

International students, who possess the nationality in a country outside the EEA/EU areas/countries, Switzerland or Surinam, are eligible. They need to meet the requirements for obtaining the entry visa and residence permit for Holland/The Netherlands.
The applicants should not possess a double nationality from an EU/EEA country.
The applicants have applied for admission to a participating full-time Master program for the academic year 2023-2024 at Maastricht University.
The applicants should meet the specific requirements of admission of the UM Master program to which they have submitted the applications for.
The applicants have never joined/participated in a degree-seeking higher education program in Holland/The Netherlands. Those students, who have completed their exchange programs in The Netherlands, are eligible to submit applications for this opportunity.
By 1^st September 2023, the applicants should not be old than 35 years.
The applicants have earned outstanding results during their previous/prior education programs, as shown by applicants’ latest grade transcript or certified by academic excellence.

Note: If in case, several applicants turn out to be equally qualified, Maastricht University will then give preference to those applicants whose academic transcript or certified letter of academic excellence show that they are among the toppers such as among the top 5 of the 2023-2024 scholarship program applicants.
