The International Merit Scholarship – It is a competitive scholarship offered to new international students who attend LBCC for the first time. It is also offered to those students who apply after their first three quarters of enrolment at Linn-Benton Community College (international students are those who are F1 visa holders with their I-20 issued by the college).
This scholarship makes the coverage of three credits per term of international student tuition. Those students, who are eligible for the Global Explorer Scholarship, are also eligible for this opportunity. Around 10 scholarships are bestowed to successful students each year. The Global Explorer Scholarship – This opportunity is awarded to the students automatically. There is no need of a separate application to obtain this scholarship. This LBCC financial aid (scholarship) is only awarded to those students who are the citizens of countries on college’s annual list of countries which the college likes to build representation from at LBCC.
LBCC’s 2022-23 Global Explorer countries are: Indonesia, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Costa Rica, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, all African countries and Venezuela.

The Global Ambassador Scholarship – Every year, Linn-Benton Community College awards around 4 students this competitive scholarship. This opportunity to study in USA at LBCC is open for applications submission in the spring to present international students (those with F1 visa laced with their I-20 issued by the college).
This student support confers the students with 6 credits of international tuition per term for the academic year and requires particular service to international programs like helping with new recruitment of international students, providing support to new international students, planning of events, and handling social media for international programs. Note: Students are not eligible to receive both International Merit Scholarship and Global Ambassador Scholarship simultaneously.
